Choose to Shine
Caroline Reed of Friendswood, Texas, has always felt blessed. Thanks to Arbonne, now she has time to enjoy her blessings!
Over and over, God has abundantly blessed me, and what Carbone has allowed me to do is enjoy my blessings. The gifts of time freedom and a great income allow me to enjoy my life to a greater degree than I ever dreamed possible.
I was introduced to Arbonne in college, when a friend let me try her anti-aging skin care samples. Within days, I noticed amazing results. Best of all, I started receiving compliments on the appearance of my skin. Very soon afterward, I found myself earning extra money by simply sharing the products with others. However, once I graduated, I pursued what I thought I was supposed to … a real job. To me, a “real job” means stilettos, a cubical, clocking in and out, and a boss. Here I sit, five years later, a Regional Vice President, and I still believe that. Arbonne isn’t a “real job,” and for that I am thankful. Arbonne is freedom. It’s a life-giving business, a legacy, a job that doesn’t run my life, but fuels it, and I’m honored to tell you more of my story.
On December 2, 2007, I married my husband on a beautiful winter afternoon in Colorado. Kevin is a teacher and coach, which meant he would be home most holidays and all summer, while I had a two-week vacation limit. I was born with a heart defect and it’s recommended that I not become pregnant. We strongly desired children and knew that becoming parents would cost much more than our insurance co-pay.
Soon after our wedding, I called NVP Stephanie Fisher. I told her I wanted to go to the top, and I was committed to the hard work it would take. I removed the option to quit. I learned the importance of not only setting goals, but also sharing them. Telling people I respect, such as my father, that I was working toward earning my Mercedes-Benz held me accountable. The more I told others, the more I believed. I realized I could work to make my dreams come true, or I would be hired to build someone else’s dreams. I chose to build mine by helping others build theirs.
My journey has had twists and turns — even some lows. A huge milestone was earning the 2010 all-expense-paid Caribbean Cruise. Kevin always believed in my ability, but that week boosted his confidence and belief in Arbonne. I finished RVP that same month, and boy, did Arbonne pay off! With the exception of my wonderful husband, family and friends, I have never felt so loved. The leaders at Arbonne continually go out of their way to appreciate me. Beyond the unbelievable financial benefits, I’ve earned jewelry, flowers, my Mercedes-Benz, luxury vacations, and so much more. I’m showered with love, appreciation and lifelong friendships.
I am living a dream. We recently adopted sweet Etta Abigail, our Why for years before she came to us. She’s a heart-melter and the love of our life. Arbonne played a significant role in allowing us to fund her adoption, but more importantly, I have never missed an “Etta moment.”
To my upline ENVPs, Neta Irwin and Joyce Owens, and NVP Stephanie Fisher: You lead me toward success through example. Your kindness, love and encouragement bless my life. Thank you for never letting me quit, even when I begged you to let me go.
Crossline friends, you are proof that Arbonne is about belonging to something bigger than just a business. I appreciate all of you.
AMs Liz Green, Amy Kershner, Cristin Forman, Courtney Appel and Heather Wenning: You support me more than I could ever hope to repay. Our team grows strong because of the character, dedication and desire you live out. Thank you for your hard work and commitment. Friends like you are for a lifetime.
To every DM: I am grateful for each of you. Our success is yours to celebrate. I am proud of you and love you dearly.
To my friends, customers and hosts: Thank you for saying “yes.” You have blessed me.
To my family: Thank you for believing in me. I love you so much and couldn’t have done this without you.
Kevin, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support and for allowing me to pursue this dream. Thank you for believing in me. I love you and wouldn’t want to share this life with anyone else.
Sweet Etta, you are a dream come true, a gift from God. I love you, pretty girl.
Most importantly, God’s grace and love has been the ultimate key to my success. Without Him, I am nothing.
