Live the Life You Love
Victoria VanderVeen, from Hanford, California, grew up surrounded by Arbonne, with an ENVP mom. She resisted the Arbonne Opportunity at first, using fear as a crutch. But once she saw the potential for the business and for a life filled with her own choices, she got right to work and hasn’t stopped since.
My journey with Arbonne began when I was 5 years old. One could say I’ve lived the dream life. My mom, ENVP Kristin VanderVeen, was introduced to Arbonne in 2002 and became the third National Vice President in California. Naturally, I grew up with Arbonne my whole life. I’ve been on most of the trips and even to the NVP trip to Maui more times than I can count. When I turned 18, I decided I was not going to start an Arbonne business like my mom. My mom told me “go get a job then.” My exact words to my mom were, “I will never do your business and I do not want a boss.” Kind of a contradicting statement. In all honesty, I was super shy and talking to people scared me to death! But what do people do at Arbonne? Talk to people! Fear was stopping me from considering the business. I was the type of girl who stood behind my mom so I wouldn’t have to talk to anyone. My second objection to the business was that my mom was an ENVP in our small town. She had everyone I knew signed up — even my mother-in-law. So here I was, a super shy girl with no one to talk to about Arbonne, even if I wanted…or so I thought. For my 18th birthday, my mom took me on her NVP trip to Maui. It was on this trip I realized that the opportunity was too amazing to let it pass me by. So, I started Arbonne as a full-time college student and made time to work Arbonne full-time as well. And trust me, I am not a “sales type” person. But this is the best part of Arbonne: we recommend products that truly change the appearance of people’s skin and help people live a healthy lifestyle. And then we share how having an Arbonne business can help change their financial future as well.
By working my business consistently and building a strong team, I promoted to RVP. Earning the Mercedes-Benz Cash Bonus was truly a token of helping so many people reach their goals and build their own dreams. Thanks to my Arbonne business, I have been able to create a life of choices for my new husband, Bryant, and for the family we will have one day. Arbonne has given me the ability to give back and make a difference in people’s lives.
As 20-year-olds, we shouldn’t be conditioned to be tired, exhausted, broke, and stressed, spending five days of the week working at an unfulfilling job, only to get two days to enjoy it. I am super blessed to have built a business that allows other people to wake up every day without an alarm clock. I feel incredibly fortunate that I got to experience Arbonne early in my life and that I get to work alongside my mom, who has inspired me to grow as a person, a leader, and overcome that shy girl. My mom and I work closely and I’ve been fortunate to truly be in the wings of my ENVP. I thank my mom so much for her leadership and for pushing me out of my comfort zone.
I want to thank God for His sovereign hand over my business and for bringing me such a wonderful team of business partners and Clients. I truly feel blessed and want to thank Him for His abundance and provision. I promise to always glorify God and give God the credit for the success in my business.
To my very best friend and husband, Bryant: Thank you for standing by my side and for cheering me on every step of the way. Thank you for trusting me when I told you this would work and had the opportunity to change our lives forever. I love you more than you know!
To my parents, Daryl and Kristin: Thank you for your unending support and showing me the Arbonne life. You both have truly invested in me and my team, and for that I am forever grateful. You have taught me to believe in myself and that I can have anything in this world if I work hard enough for it. I am grateful God picked you to be my parents. I love you both.
To ENVPs Donna Weiser and Sandra Tillinghast: Thank you for all that you do for me and my team. Donna, you are like a second mother to me. You have both watched me grow up and I hope to be half the leader you two are.
To all my AMs, DMs and Consultants: You are the lifeblood of this team. I know that God has so many incredible things planned for your life and your journey with Arbonne.
